We are pianoforte chamber ensemble specializing in the variety and richness of music styles across Europe in the second half of the 18th and beginning of 19th century. 

Our mission is to bring the music that has fallen into obscurity back to the listeners.
In our programs we combine lesser known repertoire with the music of the (current) big names such as Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. In this way their work is placed in the musical context of that time and viewed from a different angle. In our concerts we try to emulate the intimate chamber music atmosphere that belonged to this genre at the time.

 

The music of this politically and socially stormy period contains a wide palette of emotions which change rapidly. One can find melancholy, longing, joy, fear. Piú Corde wants to revive the emotions written in the music and bring them to the listeners. In the ongoing search for a form of expressions the group experiments with the sound possibilities of historical bows, strings and keys.
